It's Christmas time! *tears out hair*

I love Christmas. I really do.

Honest.

No lies.

Maybe just little ones.

So it’s the Christmas season.  And it’s Ducks Unlimited banquet season.  And it’s Christmas party at work season.  And it’s Christmas party at daycare season.  And it’s Christmas party at Church season.  And Christmas gift wrapping season.  And Christmas decorating season.  And Christmas shopping season.  And I’m ready to break out in hives season.

I love Christmas.  I just hate the lead up to it.  I hate all the running around and stress that goes with it.  I’m still not done with my shopping!  I’ve wrapped three gifts though, at least that’s progress.

Who’s fault is that?  Mine.  Mine and mine alone.

I have been trying to get caught up on my Christmas stuff but then Allie was sick last Monday and I had a funeral visitation to attend Tuesday night after that and didn’t get home until 8:00 pm.  So this weekend I have been on a roll.  Presents have been wrapped.  Gifts have been bought.  Food gifts have been cooked.

And amidst all this I have so many other things I’d like to work on.  It never fails when you have things that have to be done the creativity kicks in and you have great ideas and no time to work on them.

This is why I very rarely announce ahead of time what I’m going to blog about.  I just blog.  I really wanted to do this week of recipes before Christmas but with all the goings on I haven’t touched my computer in about two weeks!

But Christmas will soon be here, eep!  And I’m taking off from work the week after Christmas but I don’t see any productivity then either because I’ll probably be cleaning house and we’re putting up a bigger bed for my daughter, finally!  So, I shall live the life I have and look forward to January when I have a little more time to devote to writing and research and photography.

I hope you’ll keep hanging out with me!  I have good things to come and a goal for the new year that I’ll hopefully meet in the spring.  (I refuse to announce anything ahead of time any more.)

Hope you’ve had a great week my lovelies!

When all else fails go riding in a brand new hand knit hat. Happy Monday!

    1. Oh no, I don't knit! I barely crochet. A very sweet friend for church made it for me. It's just beautiful.

  2. Why is that when we are the busiest that's when creativity shows up? I just put those ideas in the spiral notebook of lists and tell them to sit there until I return! Peace and joy (and a hug)to you!

    1. Thanks for the hugs. This too will pass, Christmas will be perfect, and soon enough I'll have some time to work on my projects. Merry Christmas and much peace and joy to you as well.
