Last operated by Mr. John Sparks, originally built as a skating rink. Mr. Sparks ran his store as a general merchandise but did not sell beer as his wife would not allow it. Closed for several years but now being used as a small furniture framing factory.
Skating rink--now there is something you don't see very often anymore--or at least, in my part of the world.
ReplyDeleteThis building has a narrow plank hardwood floor but it's honestly not that big inside. Now the skating rink in Houston,MS has wooden floors too and is pretty big, probably two basketball courts. Nothing like skating on a wood floor much easier time falling than on concrete.
