Still Stitching....

Now that I've practiced a bit with the pillowcases (I finished another set by the way) I've started on my long term project for the next bit.  As I get a little further along I'll share what it is.

And that wooden hoop is one that belonged to my great grandmother.  As I've felt stressed out this weekend I've sat down for a few minutes here and there and lost my self in french knots and lazy daisy stitches.  Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Happy Monday lovelies!

  1. Very nice so far! You almost make me want to pick up a needle and hoop...almost. :)

    1. Do it! I haven't really stitched much in years. I was really into it in high school (I was realllllly a huge Jane Austen, Bronte sisters fan) and haven't done much with it since. I don't know what's gotten into me but it sure is fun.

  2. how sweet to have your great grandmas embroidery hoop. i have one that i picked up at a thrift store one year. it's nice but it's so cool when it has that sentimental value as well.

    1. I have several sewing things that I've inherited from grandmothers. It's nice to sit there and think about all the things that must have passed through that hoop. :)
