Happy Sunday!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I apologize for the sound quality and my not looking so hot but I just wanted to share.  This is an ancient keyboard and it's doing it's best on pipe organ setting.  Why in the world did I ever quit keeping up with my piano?  I used to be able to play much better than this but I'm already better than I was a few weeks ago. I'm getting there but the learning curve with no teacher to help is pretty steep.  But I'm happy playing again and that's saying something.  Will I get up the gumption to play in church, maybe.  If I do it will be to start with a prelude or an offertory hymn.  Time will tell.  Hope everyone had a great day!

  1. I think you did a great job on Sweet Hour of Prayer. I have never played it, but I have listened a lot and sung it a lot. And, I have sung Whispering Hope many many times! My first recollection is during choir in Seymour, Texas, circa 1958 or thereabouts. We sang it a lot in the Methodist Church. Can't wait to hear you play it...and sing it.

  3. Thanks ladies! Maybe I will sing it for you. Maybe. I for some reason struggle with playing and singing. My brain is like one thing at a time lady!

AND ALSO THE MISSISSIPPI ACCENT IS THE CUTEST. Gets me every time.

    1. I used to worry about my accent but I think at this point it's too late and I embrace it! Thank you for the kind words. The song is one of my favorites.
