New Years Day Dishes

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a fun night, and now here comes my favorite part of new years the food!  I've got my huge crock-pot of black eyed peas going right now and thought that I would share that recipe and one for turnip greens as well.  I've posted these to the blog before so just click on the pictures below to be taken to the recipes.

Black eyed peas are typically eaten in the South on new years for luck and greens for prosperity/money for the new year.  I don't know if it works but it sure is delicious.  :)

I hope you have a great day and I think I'm going to fire up the sewing machine and do a little mending while I have some time.
